Buckfast Superbee is polished and commercial sounding, but they harness youthful energy without the youthful whininess that has killed modern rock radio. Songs are well constructed, guitar and drum driven, poppy, and, frankly, very pleasing.
The album loses a little steam at the halfway mark, but there are enough standouts to recommend this album for fans of the Foo Fighters and Offspring.
Bottom Line: Stupid name belies confident and well-crafted alt-rock.
