This is Bushman’s first live studio album and it sounds excellent. His voice resembles Beres Hammond and Michael Rose a little bit. It’s great to review something other than punk and rock these days so it’s a bit refreshing to hear Bushman’s “Signs.” My brother usually reviews the reggae just because he listens to it more than I do but I like it just as much as him. Bushman sings in a Roots Reggae style. I like Roots Reggae a lot better than Dancehall. Dancehall tends to get annoying after awhile to me. Though it depends what mood I’m in really. Niki Burt is featured on the song “Lonely” and Bushman covers the folk song “One Tin Soldier” as well. Ya know, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes covered it on their first Cd. I’m really liking this Cd a lot and plan to listen to it a lot this summer, when it’s the perfect time to listen to some reggae the pool.
Bottom Line: Awesome roots reggae singer! GET THIS!
