I never even heard of Cat Power before, but I got an email saying that some stuff was available on quicktime so I listened. it’s cool. Then I got a matador sampler from my friend, I was like, this is good. Then I got the CD and I was like damn. This is really good. Real mellow, real cool. Chan Marshall, singer & musician, gets a bunch of different musicians to add to her songs. They are really good overall. Combining typical folk rock with a New York City feel to it. Chan even covers John Lee Hooker. Powerful girl rock to mellow out to.
