What do you get when you mix the sounds of Fall Out Boy and Yellowcard with Jars Of Clay? Seattle’s The Classic Crime is what you get. It’s always great to hear rock songs for Jesus, isn’t it?

“Albatross” isn’t that blatant with its religious messages but they are there. Most of the songs are sappy four minute long inspirational snooze fests that sing about keeping the faith and believing in invisible people who control our lives. Boring… If you want to sing about Jesus, you should at least rock with your balls out like Stryper does. Jesus would be bored out of his skull if he had to listen to this crap.

For those who love the kind of Christian music that you can find for sale at your local Christian Book Store and can currently listen to on your local Christian radio station, “Albatross” sounds exactly like that only much worse.

Bottom Line: If you are having trouble sleeping at night, this album might help.
