Cock Lorge Band doesn’t take themselves seriously, or at least I hope not. For a band that uses plenty dick jokes, they don’t sound that bad!

The Leading Role is a 5 track EP and has songs on here like “The Orgy,” “Eating disorder” and “Not Gonna Make Love To You This Morning.” Their sound is a mixture of classic rock, folk and Americana. They actually sound like Band of Horses a little, but just not as good. The recording could have been better, but maybe they were going with that old time radio sound? The songs are bit silly and dumb, but if the band took themselves more seriously, they would have more people talking about them in the indie folk scene.

Bottom Line: not bad, but not great either.
