For death metal, these guys are extremely melodic and complex. I mean, you can’t dance the macarena to it, or sing along to it karoaoke-style, but ordinarily death metal is an aural assault of crap, and these guys ain’t. The guitars ring out brightly, the drums are like a precise machine, and the vocals are growly, but not too low to be registered by human ears.
Death metal is a tough genre to review, cuz it’s kind of like reviewing the timbre of a diarrhea-and-belching contest, but these guys are easy to swallow. Not unlike diarrhea.
Bottom Line: Death metal with this crazy thing called melody.
