If you think this sounds like an all-girl Rancid, you’re not far off. They got the same quick but catchy fast punk tunes that revolve around stories about people and cities, the same cut n paste gritty album design, they each have a member with a mohawk that could poke your eye out from a dozen paces. It’s not a big surprise – the band is led by Tim Armstrong’s wife. But being compared to Rancid isn’t a bad thing; they’re best at what they do. I just hope this doesn’t turn into one of those Hole-Nirvana things. Not that I think Tim’s writing their music for them-his wife has a much dirtier mouth!
