Sophomore release from one of the biggest acts in metal today. Softer and melodic, Disturbed are a more mature band with a hell of a lot more money, and leather pants that are more shiny. The album is not as hard and heavy as the first album “The Sickness,” and expect less “Waka Waka’s.” Personally, the first album kicks ass and they should have sticked with the stuff that worked: fast and furious beats, with lots of waka waka’s. I mean you sell 2 million records and stray from what you started out doing? Why Change? It worked to begin with. I still enjoyed this album a lot and I expect this album to be just as big as the first one.
Bottom Line: A great album but not as good as their first release.
Notable Tracks: “Prayer,” “Remember,” “Intoxication,” “Bound,” “Darkness.”
