John Williams did the originally soundtrack for Jurassic Park and Lost World, but he was too busy to do this one, so Don Davis got the nod to compose the music for the third installment. I think he did a great job filling John Williams’ shoes. Williams gave Davis permission to use the original theme and Don Davis uses it quite frequently and adds his own take on it as well. “The Dinosaur Fly ” is a good example of his own take on the original theme and gives you goose bumps when listening to it. The music adds a lot of suspense to the movie, which I’m sure was the point. Anyway, I still like the first movie and first CD of this series the most but it’s still a nice CD to hear.
