I find Modest Mouse to be largely mediocre, so a mediocre version of Modest Mouse isn’t my idea of a fun 45 minutes.

But if you happen to like Modest Mouse (I won’t ask why), DPC are satisfactory. They have that yarling-meets-dorky vocal style, the toe-tapping drums, and muted-pinball indie guitar sound. None of the songs stood out, but none were awful enough to warrant some CD frisbee action. Like I said – mediocre.
