Energy is not to be mistaken by the Taiwanese hip pop boy band of the same name. Talk about 2 different bands! Energy’s debut album “Invasions of the Mind” was released on Bridge Nine Records and the band sounds like AFI. WHOA WHOA!

Each song sounds similar, fast hardcore punk songs with lots of WHOAs in it. It starts to get a little silly. There’s one thing to have some occasional WHOAs in songs, not every song though! This isn’t a Joey Lawrence band after all. Is that reference too outdated? I don’t know, but I do know that Energy could have done better with this album. Energy does have potential to be something great and better but I think this album falls into the mediocre category.

Bottom Line: Sounds too much like AFI
Notable Tracks: Didn’t have any
