This is some very radio-ready alternative rock. It really doesn’t deter too much from the more popular fare, although the keyboards aren’t a bad touch. It’s by no means bad, and they never stoop to screamo levels of lameness. In fact, I have to give these guys props for being emotional as they could have been. Actually, I really don’t mind this. That isn’t to say that it’s very good, but the production is very nice (it was produced by the dude from System of a Down), and the songs are well-written. Compared to some of the crap on the radio these days, this is a couple cuts ahead. I think I’d still rather hear these guys than Linkin Park, Nickelback, and all those bands. And that says a lot.
Bottom Line: It’s radio rock and I didn’t hate it. Doesn’t that say enough?
Notable Tracks: April Fools and Eggmen, Kyla Cries Cologne, Walls of Jericho
