Second full length that doesn’t disappoint in any way. I can’t decide which album I like better, they’re probably equal. In the press release, Dave King, the lead singer of Flogging Molly stated his influences are The Dubliners and The Pogues. I really can tell that he was inspired them because “Another Bag Of Bricks” sounds like “Turkish Song Of The Damned.” I don’t know if that’s on purpose, or just coincidence. The rest of the CD is packed with great songs to sing along to and dance to. The title track “Drunken Lullabies” will be an instant hit. Just like “Swagger,” There’s a few slower songs that are just as good as the fast ones. Nathan Maxwell, bass player of FM, sings lead vocals on “Cruel Mistress” and it’s nice to hear a change in the songs. Kind of gives their music a new dimension begins Dave King isn’t the only one that can sing. Owners of Flogging Molly’s debut CD “Swagger” should pick this one up immediately. If you like bands like The Dropkick Murphys and The Pogues, you’ll enjoy this CD. I highly recommend “Drunken Lullabies.”

Bottom Line: Most Definitely
Notable Tracks: “Drunken Lullabies,” “The Kilburn High Road” “Rebels Of A Sacred Heart,” “Another Bag Of Bricks”
