From Seattle comes Furious Styles who play angry, shout-along NYHC-styled hardcore.
There’s something posturing about them – they’re trying a bit too hard to sound tough. Usually the vocals are pretty good and old school, but sometimes they delve into bad white boy rap. Also, the chant-alongs are overdone to a ridiculous level.
But the biggest detriment to the band is the music itself. The riffs almost never change – you can flip around to different songs and not realize it.
The band isn’t awful, but they should tone down the tough act and learn a new song.
Bottom Line: Unremarkable NYHC from Seattle kids.
