It was a good idea to have their last album be a live one. 30 favorites from their whole career make this more like a greatest hits, but being live, it’s a nice twist to the compilations that usually come out at the end of a band’s career. Plus, as one of Fat’s live albums, you know the quality is as good as most studio work. There’s some good crowd participation and Russ’ voice doesn’t go out like on a bunch of other live albums.

Good Riddance has been rockin’ for the last 12 years. Their style has remained basically the same throughout their career. If you’re a fan of Good Riddance, or a fan of fast, California-style punk, then definitely pick this one up. It’s a good farewell to a good band.

Bottom Line: Fast Cali-punk. I liked it a lot.
Notable Tracks: Heresy, Hypocrisy, and Revenge; Fertile Fields; More Depalma; Mother Superior
