There are many punk rock, street punk and Oi! bands out there and a lot tend to sound the same, especially street punk and Oi! bands. Thankfully, Harrington Saints doesn’t really belong in that group because their music stands out!

I was a little skeptical when putting this in. I said to myself, “okay let’s hear the latest band trying to sound like The Dropkick Murphys” but HS have a sound all their own. It’s a mixture of Oi! and street punk, but the band doesn’t sound too cliche or lame. Plus, this album was produced by Lars Frederiksen of Rancid so that gives the band some street cred.

The first 3 songs (“OCD,” “Revolution,” “Kids Want More”) should be a testing point for someone listening to the Harrington Saints for the first time. Every song on Pride & Tradition are speedy street punk tunes. The singer sounds like he can stomp on your face with his combat boots. I’d imagine the pit would be deadly for these guys too.

Harrington Saints isn’t your typical street punk band. Listen to their newest album on Spotify and purchase the album if this is your thing.

Bottom Line: Street punk hasn’t sounded better!
Notable Tracks: Revolution, Kids Want More, Slogans on the Wall
