“Diesel” (Slimstyle Records) The swing/rockabilly band with a really long name now goes H.D.H. I loved their first CD but I’m not too sure about this one. I guess I’ll have to listen to it more. They changed their style a little bit, leaning more towards rockabilly and the lineup seemed to changed. They rerecorded some songs from their first album like “The Perpetrator” and I think another one but I can’t think of it right this moment. The singer actually sounds like the old Misfits and they do a cover of “Astro Zombies.” You definitely hear the Misfits sound in the first song “Diesel.” The horns sound good and you can hear that punk rock influence in the songs as well. I still think the first album is better but this one is pretty decent. “The Perpetrator” is still a great song, but this time it’s more punkier and faster which I kind of dig you hepcats. If you ever wanted the Misfits to be a swing/rockabilly band than this CD is for you!
