This is a flawless, fun summery mix of snarky British attitude and feel-good, upbeat guitar pop.

I like this style of British pop that is clean-cut, almost Hollies-ish on the surface, but caustic as hell if you listen closely enough.

The title track and “Dancefloor” are good examples of their scathing humor over flawlessly bright Britpop. All the songs are fun – “Generator” is a hand-clapping catchy power pop tune with a surfy/Polynesian melody; “Fit For A Fortnight,” “Two Left Feet,” and “What’s the Difference?” are so upbeat and jangly, you will bop your head uncontrollably to it. “Fuck Ups” is deliciously skanky and even early Specials-esque.

I could go on, but I’d be repeating myself. This is really fun stuff without resorting to any of today’s hip trends – they’re dancey and they’re punky, but they’re not dancepunk. They have a 60s garage sound, but they’re not garage or retro. They’re simply happy-go-lucky and fun, similar in spirit (if not in sound) to the Hi-Fives and Travoltas. Give them a listen and let them complete your summer.

Bottom Line: Feel-good guitar pop pick-me-up.
