I heard of I Roy’s name before but never heard his music. Yes, I know reggae fans are having a heart attack right now. He is considered a legend and was a top notch Toaster/ DJs in the 1970s. His music is excellent and laid back. I can see myself laying on a beach listening to this. “Keep On Spinning” and “Keep Down Deh” are songs that I think I’ve heard before and the songs themselves are good. This collection is compiled I Roy himself and contains not only his hits, but also lots of sampling of many of his other classic recordings. I really like this reggae disc, and fans of I Roy and reggae should definitely look into this Heart Beat release.
