I first heard of the Independents on the Skanarchy compilation and didn’t really like the song. But that view has changed and I really dug this EP. Their last full length, Joey Ramone and Daniel Ray produced the album. Joey Ramone actually discovered the band and had them tour with the Ramones. The singer sounds like the singer from Tiger Army, it’s weird. I guess they both play gothic spooky punk rock. The track “Full Moon Arise” sees them venturing into rockabilly so the Tiger Army similarities are there. Not bad, not great. Just right in the middle.

Bottom Line: Yeah why not
