John Ottman’s the man! He edits the movie, and composes! That takes a lot of skill if you ask me. The score is ten times better than Michael Kamen’s attempt. It’s not just some background noise and some weak techno notes thrown into the mix. The score opens with a suite of all the themes that are in the movie. I guess the suite is considered the theme of the movie, or the beginning of it anyway. Though the score doesn’t really have that distinct theme song that stands out and gets overplayed which could be a good or bad thing when you think about it. The film score also has a lot of choir on it like tracks “Storm’s Perfect Storm,” “I’m In,” and “Goode.” I think once you see the movie, the score will be a lot more fun to listen to and you’ll enjoy it better.
