I’m not a fan of musicals, so I never saw this film. Just for some reason, I never got into musicals, but I’m sure I could watch some of the older musicals with Garland, Sinatra and Fred Astire. Hey, does Willy Wonka count for a musical? Haha. Since I like big band, lounge, and swing, it’s pretty much the same thing if you look at it. A Star Is Born is one of Judy Garland’s most famous roles, well next to Wizard of Oz of course. Some of her musical numbers were left on the cutting room floor but now you can listen to them on this CD. There’s also a lot of underscoring and outtakes as well. I don’t know what I like more, Judy Garland’s singing or the instrumental tracks. I thought I was going to hate this since I’m closeminded when it comes to musicals but I enjoyed this CD.

Bottom Line: Expanded Soundtrack with deleted songs from Garland and unreleased score tracks
Notable Tracks: “Overture” “Gotta Have Me Go With you” “Cheating On Me”
