I’m not exactly sure what the hell this is. It’s a 2-song CD single by a super-catchy all-girl power pop group, but it also features two music videos that include animated Pez, apparently for some kind of Pez TV show or movie….weird.

Anyways, the two songs that are on hear are really good. Nothing brilliant, but exactly the type of happy, catchy and slightly rockin’ girl rock that makes me happy. Saturday Morning is the superior track, and I noticed that it was written by Robby Takac, the bassist and less power-ballady dude from the Goo Goo Dolls (who at one point played the same type of Replacements-esque power pop that we have here). I’d be excited to hear what this band can do. If this CD single is any indication, they have potential.

(as a side note, on the record label website, there are supposedly 3 more tracks on this album, but I only got two….)

Bottom Line: Catchy female-fronted power pop that makes me want to check out more.
