From Minneapolis comes this exasperating mix of smoky, free-form jazz and subpar hip hop. I can dig avante hip hop, but the lyrical delivery here is too slow and monotone – not only for hip hop but the jazz accompaniment as well!

Jazz and hip hop can mix in interesting, powerful ways. This isn’t one of them.

Bottom Line: A poor attempt at a good idea.
