Apparently this band has been together since ’98 but this is the first time I’m hearing about them. They have this dark, melodic rock sound similar to the Smiths or Morrissey. This is a CD Single/ EP that contains 4 songs and I this is a tease to their upcoming full length album on SH. They do a cover of the Beatles “While My Guitar Gently Weeps,” Beatles fans will like that tune, obviously. I’m not really digging the vocals that much though. I think it sounds the best in “Perfect World” because the song is more upbeat and fast. I like the acoustic guitar work in “Tired Minds” as well. It’s hard to judge a band on 4 songs. From hearing this EP though, I think the band sounds good, it’s just something I don’t really listen to much.
Bottom Line: Slow melodic rock music isn’t my thing but the band as a whole sounds great.
