Dennis Lyxzén from Refused/ The (International) Noise Conspiracy has yet another project and this one is something completely different. Slow tempo songs with him singing and playing acoustic guitar and other band members playing oboes, flutes, and other nonrock instruments. I like the flute work in the songs, well maybe that’s because I’m a big Jethro Tull fan. At first, Dennis wrote these songs for “one person, and one person alone” but then he realized people have been through the same situations with relationships, etc. The track “Alright” is very catchy and features a duet with Dennis and Swedish pop star Lisa Miskovsky. I think that’s the best track on the album. It sort of reminds of ELO’s “Mr. Blue Sky” for some reason. You watch, that song will be playing on the radio and getting huge. I thought I was going to down right hate this CD but ended up enjoying it.
