Poughkeepsie, NY’s Matchbook Romance, formerly known as Prince..I mean, The Getaway. Even though they are local, I haven’t heard their music before, though I knew they had a big following. The album is well produced because Brett Gurewitz did it. Though to be honest, I don’t know what the big deal is with this band? They don’t bring a new sound to the scene and they sound like everything out there. The vocals are too whiny for my tastes but the band does sound great together, it’s just a genre I don’t particular care for.
