NYC finest with their debut on DVS Media/Bib Records. I first took notice of this band one night in Feb. when they opened for Mephiskapheles at the “Sweatglands.” It was hot in the club that night, I almost fainted, anyways this album is pretty good with killer-female vocals and sweet horn rhythms. I remember a few months back I saw in Playboy Mag. that they were one of the bands “Ready for the bigtime” (Hey, I read the articles too.) So for you collectors that’s the April 98 issue. “Soul Garage Ska” also has guest musicians, Coolie Ranx and Vinny Nobile of the Pilfers. Songs that I like were “Evil Eyes,” “Back Again,” “Destroy,” and “Corner Boy.” Expect to see this band rise above the mix of ska bands throughout the country.
