Former publisher of High Times, who happens to be a musician, writer, and a former editor of Screw magazine decided to release an album. This album was produced by Jon Spencer, who also plays on the album. I guess this album is an autobiography of Mike Edison’s life, and done in a spoken word, sort-of way. Mike Edison talks about pornography, GG Allin dying, Ozzy and High Times. This isn’t something someone would put on in the car to listen to, and the music is chaotic and messy. It didn’t take me long before I had to turn this CD off. If you’re interested in knowing about Mike Edison’s life, than pick this CD up, if not stay away from it.
Bottom Line: Mike Edison might have an interesting life but I’d rather read about it than have him sing & talk about it.
