This is Mike Park’s debut solo album and it’s being released on Sub City and Asian Man Records. If you don’t know who Mike Park is now, shame on you. Mike has been in Skankin Pickle, and has another ska band The Chinkees, and he’s been an independent force in the music scene with his awesome record label Asian Man Records. I swear Mike released a solo album before but maybe it’s been a long time in the works. Yeah maybe that’s it haha. The first track “Supposed To Be There Too” starts off the Cd nicely with Mike singing and playing acoustic guitar, but there is also a violin in the background as well and it adds an element to his music. I’m a sucker for violins I guess. The songs range from racism to politics to ethnicity. Mike has come along way from singing “I’m in love with a girl named Spike” to this style of music. His music has really matured over the years and keeps getting better with every release.
Bottom Line: Yeah because Mike Park needs all the support he can get. Plus this Cd is good so.
Notable Tracks: “On That Stage” “Just Like This” “Hey You”
