Listening to this is being launched through a never-ending wind tunnel. Fuzzily distorted guitars and shouting-in-the-wind vocals swirl together unrelentingly.
The effect is cool but can be single-minded and repetitive. A friend can flip between songs and you wouldn’t realize the tune changed. I love their level of aggression and the driven nature of the songs, but more differentiating songwriting would add a lot more substance.
Bottom Line: Like Steve Albini in a hurricane (but better).
Notable Tracks: “When a Chemist Dies, Barium”
