I knew Nekromantix existed but never got around to listening to them until now. I like bands like Tiger Army and even the Stray Cats, but there’s something about this band that makes them different from the rest. Not sure what it is. I guess the band has been around since ’89 and they hail from Denmark. Nekromantix didn’t really rehearse the songs all that much and didn’t use overdubbing at all. They did that to create that lively energy you hear at shows. The band has a misfits/horror vibe going on but sometimes they just sing about normal things…like downloading porn. Well maybe ‘normal’ in my life. I honestly don’t know what to think of this album because I think the band would be an excellent live band to see. But I think on CD, they sound just okay. Nothing really that special going on here. Perhaps I need to check out their earlier stuff to see how they sounded then. Either way, if you like Nekromantix, this album is worth listening to once or twice to see if you like it or not.

Bottom Line: Decent album but felt it could have been better.
Notable Tracks: Nekrohigh, Rot in Hell, Flowers are Slow
