Millencolin’s Nikola Sarcevic takes the solo route and delivers some great songwriting. Wow, this is some music I can actually listen to, AND He’s from Sweden haha. Maybe if every band sounded like Nikola’s solo stuff, I wouldn’t dislike the country so much teehee. The songs on here are just pleasant to listen to, not sure if that’s the word but it’s not noisy and it’s relaxing to hear. I don’t know how to classify this style of music Nikola is playing, folk rock ‘n’ roll like Billy Bragg? Maybe a mix between Bragg and Johnny Cash is another way I would describe this CD. I love the harmonica in a lot of the tracks. Gives it that folk/country style to the slow songs. Millencolin’s not broken up though and are releasing another album in 2005 but at least Nikola has something to fall back on if the band ever breaks up. I’m really really digging this music and I’m going to be listening to this a lot. This surprised me. Pick it up at your local record store.

Bottom Line: Yeah, I would definitely buy this after hear listen to some samples first.
