The first track is mediocre post-punk that would be forgettable if not for the annoyingly stop-go chorus parts. I was going to end the CD there, but the second track threw me off with Misirlou-like surf, to which were added quirky vocals and jangly guitar pop a la Weezer and TMBG.
Throughout the album, they dip in and out of guitar pop, quirk rock, and indie/post-punk, but they have a frequent undercurrent of angry, buzzing post-punk and shouty choruses. Their style is interesting, if jumbled and jarringly distracting, but the dark, muddy production hurts their sound.
Bottom Line: Quirky, jangly moments to mediocre post-punk.
