2nd album, with their first major label debut. I have been looking forward to this album for months and it finally arrived. I was very familiar with most of these songs from the live shows so I knew what they were like, but to hear them on cd was different. The album was produced really well, almost too well. I didn’t really like the samplings and digital sounds. It’s weird to hear that when you hear most of those songs live. Don’t get me wrong. I listen to this album every damn day, and it’s really excellent. I just wouldn’t call it a ska album. Of course they are ska influenced but that’s not what the Pilfers are about. They play what they like and feel. There’s tons of styles on here from straight up ska to New York Hardcore to Jungle. Still, I love this album. Almost every song is excellent. Songs that I never heard live before, are standing out as my favorites songs like “Choose Life,” and “My Time Now.” Plus “What’s New,” “Lay,” “Why,” and “Aqua.” Hell, just name every song on here and those are my favorites. I know the Pilfers are going to hit it big with this album, which they deserve. So, in conclusion, buy this album because it’s just plain awesome!
