I was deliberating whether or not Piss Shit Fuck was the greatest or worst band name I’ve ever heard. I mean it’s not so unironically shitty or lame like The Devil Wears Prada or Skavoovie and the Epitones, but it’s also just three swears. Then again, I like swears. So for argument’s sake, I gave them the benefit of the doubt.

And I have to say, they live up to their name in a good way. This is balls-out, tight, intense, and quite good. Nothing revolutionary here, but they play crusty, punky hardcore that transcends the crassness of their name. Full of shouty choruses, tempo changes and really neat dynamics, this is nine tracks of solid, reliable hardcore in under a half hour. I usually don’t care much for hardcore, so it means a lot that I like this. Not that Piss Shit Fuck will probably care. For all I know, they probably want to rape me.

Bottom Line: Swear-filled band produces solid hardcore.
