Excellent decision by Sub Pop to release Radio Birdman, who haven’t seen material released in the US in over 20 years. RB were a late-70s Australian punk band who ripped shit up but remain largely unknown in the US. They’ve been described as the Down Under Stooges/MC5 because of their high-octane music and delivery, but they had their own highly-developed sound that included punk, rock, and surf elements. They were ahead of their time and hopefully they can now be appreciated.
