Revolution Mother are currently on the Warped Tour but before you see them there, you can check out their debut album “Glory Bound.” The band is fronted by pro skater Mike Vallely, who used to be in Mike V and the Rats. The first thing that I notice when listening to this album is how great the production is. Just a crisp, clear sound. For just releasing a debut album, this band sounds great. I think what I read was that this album was a few years in the making.
I’m not sure I would listen to this all that often. For some reason Kid Rock comes to mind when listening to Revolution Mother. I’m not really sure why that it is. Maybe they just have a twangy rock n roll style that is making me think that. I think the album started out good but then went downhill for me. Check out their songs at www.myspace.com/revolutionmother Myspace and decide for yourself.
Bottom Line: If you like loud, aggressive rock than you might like Revolution Mother.
