Superman: Doomsday is a direct-to-DVD and it’s an adaption of the Death of Superman. Wait, Superman dies? Well apparently he does with a battle with Doomsday, whoever that is. Superman returns but he’s just a clone that Lex Luthor made. Hmm, sounds too complicated for me. But anyway, this is the original score by composer Robert J. Kral. You might have heard of Kral’s TV work in Angel, The Lost Room, The Dresden Files, Jake 2.0 and Miracles. Robert J. Kral created new themes for Superman, so you won’t be hearing the infamous theme created by John Williams. I haven’t seen this animated movie but based on the score & storyline, it sounds promising!

Bottom Line: This score sounded all right but I’d probably like it more if I saw the animated movie.
Notable Tracks: Superman Doomsday: Main Title, Doomsday Battle, Smallville Elementary
