Scannerfunk aka Robin Rimbaud is well known in England for his work in minimalist ambient. His new album goes in a more upbeat direction, while maintaining a simple and melancholic atmosphere. While the rhythms don’t twist and turn much, he does avoid the annoying sounds and repetitions in ambient that induce migraines and vomiting.
