This is a double-disc set of Sentenced’s final show in their hometown of Oulu, Finland. The CD/DVD includes the full concert, all seven of the band’s videos, behind the scenes stuff, and interviews, and more – an appealing package for fans.

But if you’re not familiar with Sentenced, this is not a good place to start. Although the tracklist is good, the crowd’s into it, and the music is executed well, the vocals are too prevalent in the production, and the vocals are not a strong point here. The vocalist sounds like he’s got the flu, which means either 1) he’s drunk, 2) he’s bad at singing live, or 3) he’s got the flu. It makes for an uncomfortable listen, which is too bad because the music is radtacular Maiden-esque mmmmetal!

But to the singer’s credit, his voice is cute when he talks to the crowd in Finnish. Finnish may very well have surpassed Portugeuse as “cutest language.” It sounds like “ooba-toot-toot ba-toot-a-toot!” Even though that translates to “I will suck your soul out of your twitching eye cavities,” it’s still adorable.

Bottom Line: Good band ending it on a weak note.
