Shang-a-Lang play pop punk and hail from New Mexico. This collection contains 22 tracks from their EPs, singles, demos and anything else they could fit on this CD.
Supposedly this stuff is remastered which I’m having a hard time believing considering this still sounds like it was recorded in a bath tub. The songs are gritty, raw, and sound very old school. Old school is that the sound production is awful. The songs themselves aren’t bad but they aren’t great either. They are somewhere in the middle. I think if this stuff was recorded in a proper studio, I would like this a lot more.
Bottom Line: An okay collection of gritty pop punk rock tunes
Notable Tracks: Friends Grow up, Nothing I Can Do
