Brand new album from a band that broke up a few years ago. I am not too familiar with Shelter but I liked this album. I enjoyed the first song a lot in “When 20 Summers Pass,” and it continues strong the entire album. The single for the album for the album is “In the Van Again,” which is about the band embracing tour life once again after a few summers ago when they got in a pretty bad van accident, where they fell off a cliff or something, but I think no one was badly injured. They were touring with Voodoo Glow Skulls and Goldfinger I believe. As some of you may or may not know, Shelter is led exYouth Of Today singer, Ray Cappo and most of the lyrics are written him as well which provide insights into his life, like in “Look Away,” “Loss Disguised as Gain,” and “Don’t Walk Away.” I really liked this album. It is hardcore the way it once was, emotional, yet powerful, guitar driven music.
