Unfortunately; I am no expert on Sick of It All (this is my first record of theirs). That may not make me the best candidate to review this CD, but then again, it is my hands. I think my main problem with Yours Truly is the way the vocals fit with the music, or don’t fit. The first track, “Blown Away” is a really good hardcore song, but there are tracks on here that are more mellow, and the screaming just doesn’t fit. The lyrics are great, the guitars have a cool sound, and the mixing and recording is done very well, but the lack of melodies or variations in the vocals just don’t do it for me. I don’t know. It may be because I am not a fan of the style, or it may be the album itself. I can’t be your judge, only mine. This one goes to the twins anyway, but I think I will make a copy to put in my collection, for future pondering.
