Smoke Or Fire sound like the American version of Consumed. This can be both a good thing and a bad thing.

Smoke Or Fire have some catchy, fast punk songs but much like on a Consumed album, there are the occasional boring filler song that moves at the pace of a Geo Metro. They can play their instruments well which provide some decent solo parts but at times the vocals can be whiny and annoying and detract from the music.

Smoke Or Fire fit somewhere between pop-punk and early 90’s British punk. They have that Fat Wreck sound but that’s not enough to carry this album.

Bottom Line: Just call them Consumed Jr.
