Strong, progressive metal with a post-punk angular style. Musicianship is top-notch; pace is midtempo yet still very engaging – for a new band, they are adept at channeling and oscillating the right levels of aggression and melody. They keep you on your toes.

Another positive is that their melodic breakdowns are more in line with power metal and progressive hardcore than emo. I hope this is an indication that the genre is finally moving away from its fatal wussiness.

Bottom Line: More smart than brutal, and better for it.
