Remember Right Now, the newest release from Chicago’s own Spitalfield, has turned out to be a welldone album. One of the greatest credits to be given to this CD is that it is so excellently produced. The music seems like it was cleaned up a bit in the studio, and the effects used to do this are great because they improve the quality of the music without resulting in an overproduced sound. Also improving the quality of this album is the variety throughout the tracks. Some songs on this album, including the final track entitled “Make My Heart Attack”, show more allegro and are upbeat. Yet, others are slower and more mellow, like “In the Same Lifetime”, which draws in a utilization of string instruments. Spitalfield can probably be described best as being a pop emo band, and their musical style is catchy and enjoyable. The cover art for this album as well as the CD insert are pretty cool and original, too, and will surely be appreciated Chicago fans. Spitalfield has come a long way, from being the very small local as I remember it a few years ago, to becoming one of the most well known bands in Chicago. With this new album and the help of Victory Records, their new label, Spitalfield is destined to spread its fan base further across the country or maybe even over the seas.

Bottom Line: If you’re into emo, then yes (but it would probably be more worthwhile to burn it off of somebody el
