Whoa, ska music from Jump Up! I remember reviewing their CDs. This was produced Vic Rice so you know this band has to be something special if Vic is producing it. This band reminds me of the Slackers a lot. Similar vocals to Vic Ruggerio, their horns and keys are similar as well. That’s not a bad thing at all, in fact it’s quite good! The band varies from different tempos of ska/reggae tunes but they all sound excellent. The band knows how to play and they know how to play together. Back in the ska craze in the 90s, I’d get bands’ CDs and the band would be all over the place, not playing together. But that’s not the case with The Stingers ATX. Check it, get the Stingers ATX’s This Good Thing” if you want some funky skankable ska music.

Bottom Line: If you like the Slackers, you’ll love this band!
