The third SAS album is a slight departure from their previous two. “Nex Music” is slower, less poppy, and somehow manages to be very traditional without sounding very ska-esque. It’s very cool though, very nice-sounding.

All the Version City guys are here (King Django, Vic Rice, Agent Jay, Vic Ruggiero, Rocker T) plus many surprising special guests: Brian Sledge (ex-Toasters, Yallopin’ Hounds), Chris Murray (Venice Shoreline…), Lisa White (Radiation Kings), Brian Diaz (Edna’s Goldfish), Tedford Juachon (ex-Studebakers, ex-Inspecter 7), and many more.

Not particularly catchy, but atmospheric, relaxed and interesting. Best tracks are “Take Your Chances,” “Wash Away Evil,” and the instrumentals “True Mental” and “Dub Like A Star.”
