‘The Motions’ was released in April of 2006, but I’m so backed up with reviewing things I’m just getting to listen to this now. I never heard of Subb before, but I guess they have been playing ska punk music since 1992 in the Montreal area. I’m not sure what to make of this band, I think they jump around with their style too much. I like the slow reggae stuff like in the song “The Motion.” But then they do fast melodic punk and sometimes they do a little bit of hardcore. They sound good with all the styles except the vocals’ voice is a little annoying & whiny. There’s a total of 16 tracks and if you like the Canadian ska/punk thing, check out Subb. I particularly like the ska songs the best and think they sound the best doing that genre.

Bottom Line: The band should just do ska music.
